C.T is a Chemical Engineer with a wide range of scientific interests that include CO2 conversion to valuable products such as carbons and fuels, application of carbonaceous materials in polymers, supercatacitors, microwave shields, etc.
Tatiana Giannakopoulou
Research Associate, PhD
T.G. is a Physicist, highly experienced in optical (UV-visible, FT-IR, Raman), microwave and electrochemical techniques for material characterization. She is also familiar with nanomaterials' synthetic techniques, such as CVD, chemical wet synthesis, etc.
Nadia Todorova
Research Associate, PhD
N.T. is a chemical engineer with the main interests in synthesis and characterization of functional 2D carbon-based materials (Graphene, MXenes, g-C3N4) and heterostructures, development of semiconductor photocatalysts for environmental (NOx removal, H2 production, CO2 reduction) and antibacterial applications.

I.P. is a chemical engineer with a high experience in synthesis and characterization of graphene and graphene-like 2D nanomaterials and heterostructures for environmental and energy applications.

Marios Katsiotis
Group Research & Innovation Manager, PhD
M.K.obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2009 from the National Technical University of Athens. Since May 2016, he is with TITAN leading activities on implementing innovation throughout the value chain, with focus on improving environmental footprint of cement and concrete. M.K. represents TITAN in international associations related to Research & Innovation, including the European Cement Association CEMBUREAU, the NANOCEM consortium of academic and industrial partners (member of Steering Committee) and the INNOVANDI Research Network by the Global Cement & Concrete Association. M.K. is currently the Principal Investigator on behalf of TITAN for five collaborative research projects co-funded by European organizations (including Horizon2020) and five projects co-funded by the Greek RTO.
Despoina Papargyriou
Researcher, R&I department, PhD
D.P. graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of St Andrews. During her research career, she has participated in international and British industrial projects in the fields of materials science and catalysis. She joined TITAN in 2019 and is currently a Researcher in the R&I department of the Group Engineering and Technology.
John Giannakopoulos
Head of Quality Support in RDQ, PhD
J.G. graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Patras and holds a PhD in the field of Materials Science & Technology with expertise in zeolite membranes. He also holds an MBA from ALBA Graduate Business School. He is with TITAN from 2010. J.G. has participated in many Group projects concerning product quality, alternative fuels & raw materials and in several research projects related to cement and concrete.
Nikolaos Pistofidis
Process Manager in Group Innovation and Technology Department, PhD
N.P. graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He holds an MSc in Materials Engineering and a PhD in Physics of Materials from the same university. N.P. joined TITAN in 2006 in Thessaloniki Plant. From 2015 until 2019, he was placed at Kamari Plant. During this period, he participated in the development of the first TITAN nano-clinker, which was patented by WIPO. Currently, N.P. is involved in the digital transformation of TITAN Group. He has taken part in several national and European research projects, focused on materials development and mitigation of CO2 emissions, and has published 150 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He is a full member of the American Chemical Society.
Frantzeskos Theologos
Alternative Fuels Development Supervisor in Greek Division
F.T. graduated from the National University of Patras (Chemistry) and the University of Piraeus (MBA). He joined TITAN in 2004 where was involved in numerous quality control support and environmental-emission monitoring projects. As head analyst, he currently participates in several national and European research projects, with focus on cement, concrete and environmental performance.
Konstantinos Koutsodontis
Research Engineer, PhD
K.K. graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the School of Engineering in the University of Patras (Biotechnology & Environmental Technology division) and holds a MSc in Physical, Chemical & Biochemical Processes and a PhD in Chemical Engineering. He joined TITAN in July 2010 within Group Innovation & Technology/RDQ Department. Prior to TITAN he was working as an associate researcher in the University of Patras. He has authored or co-authored 21 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
Emmanouil Tzanis
Head of the Group Concrete Laboratory in RDQ, MSc
E.T. graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens in 2003. He holds an MSc in Soil Mechanics and Engineering Seismology from the Imperial College of London (2005) and an MBA from ALBA Graduate Business School (2013). E.T. has 8 years of experience as a consulting engineer in major infrastructure projects (highways, dams, tunnels) in Greece and abroad and 1 year as a site engineer in Cyprus. In September 2014 he joined the RMC subsidiary company of TITAN in Greece and he served in the position of assistant quality assurance and control manager until February 2016. Since March 2016 he holds the position of Head of the Group Concrete Laboratory in RDQ.
Dimitrios Michelis
Quality Support Manager, MSc
D.M. graduated from the Chemical Engineering Department of the University of Surrey (2013) and holds an MSc in Water and Environmental Engineering (2014) from the same university. He joined TITAN in 2016 as a Quality Control Engineer in TITAN’s Kosovo subsidiary BU. Since 2019, he is a member of the RDQ department, performing as group-wide Quality Support Manager, as well as being RDQ’s Cement and Mortars Laboratory Supervisor.
Panagiota Megagianni
Environmental Engineer, Cement Grinding and Packaging Manager, MSc
P.M. is a Chemical Engineer. She graduated from NTUA continuing her postgraduate studies ("Techno-economic Systems") at the Department of Electrical and Computer engineering of the same university. P.M. is currently the Environmental Engineer of Kamari Plant and the Cement Grinding and Packaging Manager at TITAN CEMENT. She has a three-year experience in the cement industry possessing responsibilities in the fields of environment, production and quality.

P. K. is a Chemist, her focus areas are polymer chemistry, bio based economy and environmental innovation. She has more than 20 years of research and management experience in EC-funded collaborative research projects with extensive knowledge of thermosetting polymers for paints, coatings and adhesives.
Ioannis Stamatopoulos
Chemical manufacturing group, PhD
I. S. is a Chemist with experience in the synthesis and characterization of complex metals (Cu, Fe, Pd) with N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) and study of their catalytic activity in organic synthesis reactions, as well as exploitation of CO2 for the synthesis of organic compounds. Ηe has worked in several national and international funded research programs.

T. K. is a Chemist with extensive experience in the development of new production technologies and synthesis methods of a diverse range of polymeric binders for paint and coating applications. He is familiar with new polymerization techniques, up-scaling production processes of new polymeric products and their introduction into the standard production activities of the company.
